    We are located at 401 Madras Street, Christchurch Central.

    Parking
    You can enter our carpark from Madras Street; turn left just before the lights on Bealey Avenue. We have a drop off area at the front entrance for patients who may require this.

    Public Transport
    You can plan your bus trip from the Journey Planner on the Metro website.

    Accessibility
    We have wheelchair parking and an accessibility ramp. Wheelchairs are available if you need them. We also have an interpreter service available.

A Special Beginning at Woodend Corner Medical

There was a real sense of warmth and anticipation as staff, partners, and invited guests gathered to celebrate the opening and blessing of the new Woodend Corner Medical practice.

The blessing, led by kaumātua Matua Henare Te Karu, acknowledged the significance of the new space and the journey ahead. Through karakia and shared reflection, the mauri of the practice was welcomed, creating a moment to pause, connect, and recognise a shared commitment to the hauora of the growing Woodend community. It was a privilege to witness the coming together of the practice team, partners, and invited guests to mark this important milestone.

The afternoon was a reminder that a general practice is a place where whanaungatanga is nurtured, trust is built, and whānau are welcomed and cared for. Beginning this journey with a blessing reflected the values of manaakitanga, respect, and connection that will underpin the care provided within its walls for many years to come.

As the doors open to the community, Woodend Corner Medical embarks on a new chapter grounded in a shared commitment to caring for people, strengthening relationships, and supporting the health and wellbeing of the community.
