8 ways to stay well this winter

Our local health services are preparing for a busy winter with flu, COVID-19 and other illnesses. Check out some ideas for staying warm and well this winter and help lighten the load.

  1. Vaccines & immunisations
    Check that you and your whānau are up-to-date with immunisations and consider getting the flu and COVID-19 vaccines.
  2. Prescriptions & medication
    Get prescription and medicine refills early, especially if you need an appointment with your family doctor.
  3. Stay home when you’re unwell
    Protect your community by staying home when you’re unwell. If you need to go out, make sure you wear a mask.

  5. If it can wait, don’t come out late
